KHALUF

A truly unique destination, known for its glistening white sand dunes rolling into the ocean. It is no surprise that Khaluf earned the nickname "Sugar Dunes" due to its magnificent, picturesque landscape.

This region provides a beautiful and peaceful camping area, with night skies blanketed with stars. The area is located just next to a small fisherman village, filled with gorgeous traditional Omani dhows. Khaluf is around 400 km south of Muscat and 170 km north of Duqm.

The corner of a long, curved bay provides all sorts of conditions for kitesurfing. From flat water to 1 meter rolling waves with flat intervals. 

During May to September, wind speeds are consistent, ranging between 15 - 30 knots, with temperatures of 20-30 degrees throughout day and night.
