ASYLAH
An ocean side fisherman village encroached by sand, Asylah is an unexpected surprise for many. The blissfully calm waters in the winter transform when the summer season comes around, from May to September. A swell of up to 4 meter waves with long flat intervals makes this location a favourite for surfers, big air and wave-riding kitesurfers.
Asylah is a 3.5 - 4 hour drive south of Muscat, just 45 minutes from Ras Al Hadd.

The wind blows offshore in the mornings, therefore providing the perfect conditions for surfers. It then however switches to side-shore at midday, allowing kitesurfers to come out and play. During May, June and September wind speeds range from 15 - 25 knots. July and August are the strongest months, with wind speeds ranging from 25 - 35 knots.
Asylah is a small village with a big sweet spot for seafood. Fresh fish, prawns and lobsters are a must-have when visiting the area.
A beach hotel is located directly on the spot, so you can expect fresh seafood and world class waves right on your doorstep.
